National PA Week
is celebrated each year October
6-12. The week serves to celebrate
the significant impact PAs have made
and continue to make in health care,
expand awareness of the profession
and to salute the outstanding growth
of the physician assistant
profession. For more

We were pleased
today to celebrate our association
with Carol Felcher, PA-C who has
taken over some of the ongoing
aspects of managing the health of
our women, patients on Coumadin, and
our diabetic patients.
On Wednesday, we
had our initial meeting with the
Practice Partner Research Network
Pharm-D, Andrea W. who traveled here
from the Medical University of South
Carolina. Our practice is one
of 20 sites across the nation who
will be studying the effectiveness
of our medical record system in
preventing the reversible medication
prescribing errors that plague our
nation. We have been
incorporating some very
sophisticated programming tools into
our record to make the staff more
aware of potential drug-drug,
drug-disease, drug-patient, and drug
monitoring opportunities to avoid
medication prescribing errors.
PrimeCare of Novi
has received a grant from the
Michigan Osteopathic Association. We
will be producing some core public
lectures on Diabetes and
Hyperlipidemia. Stay tuned to this
website for future announcements in
this regard.

The MOA Core Grant was
established to recognize and
support those projects and
initiatives that demonstrate a

tenets of osteopathic medicine
and the “core” of good health.
