Osteopathic Techniques
 

At PrimeCare of Novi, our patients enjoy the fact that we can use Osteopathic Techniques as a tool for their healthcare.  Osteopathic philosophy allows us to treat the patient as a whole and becomes more useful with mechanical issues of the body when it relates to structure and function. 

We use a variety of techniques including muscle energy, high velocity low amplitude thrusts, myofascial release as well as counterstrain techniques.

Some of the more common complaints we see a benefit to using OMT include Rib subluxation (often causing pain when you take a deep breath), low back pain, headaches, GI upset and discomfort from pregnancy.  We also are able to use OMT with radial head subluxations, carpal tunnel syndrome and patients with hip dysfunctions.
